Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment, performing routine maintenance work on machinery, and transporting raw materials, finished products, and scrap materials through the plant.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Perform routine maintenance work on machinery
- Transport raw materials, finished products, and scrap materials through the plant
- Feed conveyors, crushers, and other equipment
- Open valves and start pumps
- Sort, stack, bundle, and stamp materials
- Assist process and machine operators in mineral ore and metal processing
- Load and unload vehicles using a forklift or dolly
- Operate machines to grind and polish surfaces of stone blocks, slabs, or other stone products to a specific shape or design and to produce a smooth finish
- Operate and set up machines to perform repetitive machining operations
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the field
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Dependability, flexibility, and a team player attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
- Manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Ability to lift and move heavy loads (more than 45 kg/100 lbs)
