Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver - Long Haul to join our team at STAR CANADA 5 TRANSPORT LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a safe and secure environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load and unload goods from trucks, ensuring accurate and efficient handling.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Perform regular vehicle inspections, including pre-trip, en route, and post-trip checks, to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Conduct emergency roadside repairs and perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Communicate effectively with central dispatch and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
  • Record and maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Ensure the safety and security of cargo, adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies.
Requirements
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset
  • Or equivalent experience
Work Environment

As a Truck Driver - Long Haul with STAR CANADA 5 TRANSPORT LTD., you will be working in a fast-paced environment, often away from home for extended periods. You will be required to work 40 hours per week, with opportunities for overtime.
