We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at BC Children's Hospital. As a Clinical Psychologist in our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive psychological services to critically ill children and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients and their families, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support to patients and their families.
- Conduct psychodiagnostic assessments and provide psychotherapeutic interventions, including individual and group therapy, behavioral management, and play psychotherapy.
- Document assessments, treatment plans, and outcomes, and provide feedback to other members of the treatment team.
- Provide education and training to healthcare professionals and students on topics related to pediatric psychology and mental health.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to pediatric psychology services.
- Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or a related field.
- Current registration with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia.
- Experience working with children and families in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
