Clinical Research Fellowship in Oncology Imaging
The Clinical Research Department at PHSA is seeking a dedicated Post-Doctoral Research Fellow to contribute to our innovative Cancer Medical Imaging Core Lab. This lab is at the forefront of quantitative analysis in oncology imaging, aiming to extract critical insights from medical images to enhance clinical research and facilitate the translation of findings into clinical practice.
The successful candidate will engage in meaningful research initiatives aimed at identifying 'digital' biomarkers that predict clinical outcomes in oncology. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to work within a collaborative environment, fostering close interactions with clinical teams and other research professionals.
Key Qualifications and Experience
- A PhD or MD-PhD in the field of radiology or medical imaging, or equivalent experience in clinical medical imaging.
- Proven experience in interpreting medical imaging, particularly CT and MRI scans.
- Strong background in quantitative image analysis, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and radiomics.
- Familiarity with the role of imaging in cancer diagnosis and treatment, along with common clinical outcomes.
- Proficient English language skills for effective communication and scientific writing.
- Basic knowledge of statistics and analytical methods.
Core Responsibilities
- Collaborate with lab leads and clinical teams to formulate research hypotheses and design studies.
- Independently plan and execute experimental protocols.
- Review and interpret imaging data, annotating targets for quantitative analysis under the guidance of a radiologist.
- Organize and analyze data, presenting findings for group discussions and publications.
- Foster strong relationships with lab members and external collaborators, contributing to the training of new team members.
- Innovate and implement new methodologies within the Core Lab.
- Engage in manuscript writing and grant applications.
