Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Software Engineer to join our team at Accolite. As a key member of our digital engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying Java-based software applications using the Java Spring and Spring Batch frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Develop Software Applications: Utilize Spring framework to build scalable and high-performance applications, ensuring they meet project requirements and deadlines.
  • Database Management: Model and design databases to support software applications, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • ETL Pipelines: Create and maintain ETL pipelines for data extraction, transformation, and loading into databases.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners, business analysts, and quality assurance specialists, to deliver software solutions.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Troubleshoot and debug software issues and provide technical support to clients.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on Java and Spring.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of database design principles and experience working with databases such as DB2, MSSQL, and PostgreSQL. Experience in using Splunk or other logging platforms. Hands-on experience with Agile software development methodologies, such as Scrum and Kanban.
