About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Shaker Trois-Rivières. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for planning menus, preparing meals, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and prepare complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain cleanliness and organization
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to ensure a safe and healthy environment
  • Check and monitor product quality to ensure consistency and excellence
  • Support newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition
  • Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth, Indigenous people, and visible minorities
  • Support Veterans in translating their military skills and experience into the language of the civilian job market
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures
What We Offer
