Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to specialize in Seniors Health / Long Term Care within our Vancouver Community team.
As a Clinical Resource Therapist, you will play a vital role in shaping best practices and providing expert guidance to fellow occupational therapists working with this population.
Your Responsibilities:- Serve as the designated Clinical Resource Therapist for interventions related to community health / long term care (LTC) populations from an occupational therapy perspective.
- Provide consultation and clinical guidance to OTs working with this population across VCH.
- Analyze current literature and trends within the field of occupational therapy, particularly focusing on seniors health.
- Develop decision support tools and recommend changes to modify/change and advance current clinical practices within Occupational Therapy.
- Initiate and participate in knowledge translation activities, fostering an evidence-based culture and community of practice among OTs.
Education & Experience
- Degree in Occupational Therapy, supplemented by a Master's degree or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience working with seniors in community health and/or long-term care settings.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and develop practical solutions.
