Position Overview

Pipestrong Plumbing and Heating Ltd. is seeking a qualified Journeyman Plumber to join our dedicated team. This role requires a registered apprenticeship certificate and offers opportunities for on-the-job training.

Work Environment
  • Locations: Various settings including commercial and residential properties.
Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications to establish plumbing layouts and systems.
  • Guide and mentor apprentices in plumbing techniques and safety practices.
  • Identify and mark locations for pipe connections, fixtures, and passage holes.
  • Prepare openings in walls and floors for pipe installation.
  • Connect pipes using various methods including couplings, clamps, and welding techniques.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of personnel, tools, and equipment for plumbing tasks.
  • Conduct pressure tests on pipes to ensure leak-free installations.
  • Assess piping system requirements and determine appropriate pipe sizing.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to meet specifications.
Training and Qualifications
  • Completion of level four apprenticeship training is required.
Travel Requirements
  • A valid driver's license is necessary for this position.
Physical Demands
  • This role is physically demanding, requiring bending, crouching, and lifting heavy materials.
Equipment and Tools
  • Must possess personal tools and steel-toed safety boots.
