As a Veterinarian at Hard Rock Animal Hospital, you will play a crucial role in the health and well-being of animals. This is a permanent position requiring a commitment of 40 to 50 hours per week, with English as the primary working language.
Qualifications- Education: A degree in veterinary medicine, medicine, dentistry, or optometry is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a veterinary setting is considered an asset.
You will be working in a private practice and a veterinary clinic, where you will have the opportunity to engage with both clients and their pets.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough examinations to diagnose diseases or abnormal conditions in animals.
- Administer treatment to sick or injured animals, including prescribing medications and performing surgeries.
- Implement vaccination protocols to prevent and manage diseases.
- Provide expert advice to clients regarding animal care, including nutrition, behavior, and hygiene.
- Engage in veterinary research to enhance knowledge in areas such as animal health and nutrition.
- Perform routine and emergency examinations, as well as post-mortem assessments.
- Offer a variety of veterinary services, including obstetrics and dentistry.
Must hold a valid license from provincial or territorial authorities.
Physical Requirements- Ability to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Manual dexterity and attention to detail are essential.
- Capability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending and kneeling.
