Accounts Receivable Collections Agent

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Collections Agent to join our finance team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for collecting payments from customers, ensuring accurate documentation, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and post customer payments in a timely and accurate manner
  • Communicate with customers to resolve outstanding issues and ensure timely payment
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and calls
  • Provide required documentation to customers for proof of sales and delivery
  • Monitor credit hold lists and communicate with branch managers
  • Update customer data in our system, including contact information
  • Follow up on payment dates and provide professional customer service
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
  • Post-secondary Accounting Certificate/Diploma considered an asset
  • Excellent data entry skills and basic accounting knowledge
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with ERP's and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
