Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive clinical speech pathology services to patients.
  • Conduct assessments, analyses, and evaluations for patients with severe illnesses or complex medical conditions.
  • Ensure continuity of care through informed decision-making that leads to high-quality patient outcomes.
  • Recognize the necessity to create or modify policies and procedures related to specialized patient demographics and departmental practices.
  • Engage in regular evaluations of quality assurance initiatives.
  • Facilitate ongoing performance evaluations, address challenges, orient and train staff, verify competencies, and propose methods for skill enhancement.
  • Provide education to patients and their families, guiding them on relevant aspects of care.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary patient care team and leverage community resources to plan for ongoing care, support, and follow-up post-discharge.
  • Offer consultation regarding clinical management to both the professional community and the broader public.
  • Deliver skills training within the area of expertise.
Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

  • A master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current licensure in Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Georgia.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in Speech-Language Pathology.
