We are seeking a skilled Cabinet Craftsman/Installer to join our team at Anderson First Rate Contracting. As a key member of our millwork team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality residential and commercial millwork components.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Fabrication: Utilize your expertise as a joiner/cabinet maker to design and fabricate all levels of residential and commercial millwork.
- Assembly and Finishing: Assemble parts into finished millwork components, sand and file as necessary to produce quality finished faces and edges.
- Installation and Hardware: Install and adjust all necessary hardware, ensuring a seamless and professional finish.
- Material Sourcing: Source materials as needed for specific projects, maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
- Shop Drawings and Cut Lists: Read and interpret shop drawings and cut lists, ensuring accurate and efficient production.
- Job Measurement and Coordination: Measure jobs for Project Managers, coordinate with others working on the same project, and communicate clearly with supervisors and co-workers.
- Machinery Operation: Operate a variety of woodworking machinery to produce parts from solid wood and sheet goods.
- Quality Control and Shipping: Clean items and prepare for shipping, maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
- Driver's License and Physical Demands: Maintain a valid BC Driver's License and possess a clean driver's abstract, as well as the ability to lift and carefully manipulate objects up to 50 lbs. in weight on a regular basis.
- Education and Experience: A strong background in cabinet making and installation, with a focus on residential and commercial millwork.
- Skills and Abilities: Excellent craftsmanship, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift and manipulate objects up to 50 lbs. in weight, as well as stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
