Position: Junior Financial Analyst for Corporate Finance

Southbridge Care Homes is seeking a dedicated Junior Financial Analyst to enhance our corporate finance team. Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, this role will involve supporting the financial reporting processes at the corporate level.

Southbridge Care Homes is committed to managing a premier portfolio of long-term care facilities and retirement communities across Ontario, with a focus on delivering exceptional care and services sustainably.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee monthly performance indicators, perform variance analysis, and ensure accurate and timely reporting to the corporate finance team.
  • Engage in the annual budgeting cycle.
  • Evaluate and ensure compliance with all relevant provincial and local regulatory and tax requirements.
  • Assist in the interim and year-end audit processes, including the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and collaboration with auditors.
  • Undertake additional tasks as required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field.
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation obtained or in progress.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, with intermediate to advanced skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • At least one year of experience in a financial analyst role.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Finance or a similar qualification.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying financial information to non-financial colleagues.
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
