Drilling Optimization Specialist

Pason is seeking a highly skilled Drilling Optimization Engineer to join our team in Calgary, AB. As a key member of our Drilling Optimization team, you will work closely with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in drilling operations. Your expertise will be utilized to analyze client data, provide technical recommendations, and create Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports to inform end-users on product utilization.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor key product trials and prepare KPI reports with insights focused on improving drilling efficiencies.
- Work with drilling data to generate impactful KPIs and visualizations in business intelligence tools.
- Maintain high accuracy and detail in analyses and presentations to uphold Pason's support standards.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop Pason's drilling automation and KPI technology.
- Assist other support teams in troubleshooting customer issues related to drilling automation and KPI products.
- Travel to client locations for project preparation, product training, and performance presentations.
- Support the Account Management team by analyzing client data to grow revenue in product lines.
3-7 years of experience in the Oil and Gas Industry, with 2 years minimum drilling experience and 1 year minimum field experience. Licensed as a EIT or P.Eng with APEGA, or ability to obtain. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel, and experience with BI Software tools. Exposure to JIRA, Confluence, Splunk, Python, and Enverus DrillingInfo is a plus.
EducationBachelor's Degree in Chemical, Petroleum, Mechanical, or related Engineering from an accredited University.
