About the Role:

The Mechanical Supervisor will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and maintainability of equipment at Tenaris. This position will be responsible for developing and supervising the execution of preventive maintenance plans, ensuring systematic analysis, defining corrective actions, and generating improvement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimize equipment reliability and maintainability by defining maintenance strategies, developing and supervising preventive maintenance plans, and ensuring systematic failure analysis and corrective actions.
  • Provide technical support to emergency crews and staff areas, and perform and oversee inspections in the area of responsibility.
  • Guarantee technical resource availability, ensuring a suitable minimum stock, and support the Engineering area in researching and assessing the best equipment available.
  • Draw up the maintenance cost budget and keep costs within agreed limits, and ensure the application of health, safety, and environment standards and practices.
  • Comply with HSE procedures, report any incidents or observations, perform inspections, and participate in the investigation process.
  • Implement preventive/corrective actions, keep updated the risk analysis and environmental aspect assessment, and participate in maintenance programs to minimize/optimize the use of required energy.
  • Analyze, interpret, and recommend courses of action for more complex topics, and interact with internal and/or external contacts with a higher level of autonomy.
  • Act as a shift leader, responsible for leading employees during their assigned time period/shift, coordinating schedules, assigning responsibilities, and ensuring work safety conditions.
  • Comply with Tenaris policies, procedures, and management standards, and ensure adherence with all laws and regulations that apply to the area of responsibility.
  • Proactively motivate, coach, communicate with, and develop staff, and manage HR-related activities in line with Human Resources norms and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Mechatronic or mechanical specialization/degree.
  • Previous supervisory experience would be considered a strong asset.
