As a Pharmacy Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the pharmacy, providing diabetes counseling, training, and education to patients, and ensuring compliance with company policies and provincial and federal pharmacy regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy, including managing staff and ensuring compliance with regulations
  • Provide diabetes counseling, training, and education to patients
  • Work collaboratively with endocrinologists and other clinic colleagues to provide comprehensive care to patients
  • Manage and train other pharmacy staff, including pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, and pharmacy students
  • Meet key financial and performance metrics, working closely with the Operations Manager and Director of Pharmacy
Requirements:
  • Interest in helping people with diabetes improve their health and wellbeing
  • OCP Part A licensed pharmacist in good standing
  • OCP Injection Certification – current certification and first aid
  • Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) certification preferred
  • 3-5 years of Ontario pharmacy practice and diabetes education experience preferred
  • Previous management experience preferred
  • Must have previous retail pharmacy experience
  • Kroll proficiency and EMR experience an asset
  • Ability to lead a team and inspire people to achieve operational goals and objectives
  • Results-oriented with financial and business acumen
  • Interested in driving continuous improvement in processes and increasing efficiencies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
