Job Title: Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team at Ottawa Transport. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transportation: Operate a tractor-trailer to transport goods from one location to another, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, including checking tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment.
  • Logistics: Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions, using GPS equipment and other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Licenses and Certifications: AZ class license.
  • Communication Systems: Operate GPS and other navigation equipment.
  • Transportation/Travel Experience: Local and short-haul experience.
  • Security and Safety: Valid passport, driver's validity license check, and driving record check (abstract).
