Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at MCW Group of Companies. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and coordinating electrical systems for various projects.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and Coordination: Prepare concept designs, complete load calculations, and develop system concept reports.
  2. Collaboration: Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including consultants and architects.
  3. Document Preparation: Prepare contract documents, including specifications.
  4. Site Visits: Conduct site visits during the construction phase.
  5. Review and Compliance: Ensure ASHRAE compliance and LEED requirements are met.
  6. Project Management: Update project schedules and provide status reports to the Project Manager.
  7. Resource Management: Escalate resource issues to the Project Manager.
  8. Business Development: Assist in sourcing new work and maintaining existing client relationships.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:


  • Education: Post-secondary education in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Professional Engineering Designation (P. Eng.) in the Province of New Brunswick and experience in engineering and design coordination.
  • Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of current engineering principles and practices, project management concepts, and AutoCAD and REVIT.
