About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Mechanic to join our team at G. Gill Yellowhead Truck Wash Ltd.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including hydraulic and transmission systems.
  • Assist mechanics and perform other duties as directed to ensure efficient operation of the wash facility.
  • Change engine oil and lubricate running gears or moving parts of automobiles, trucks, or heavy equipment.
  • Grease booms, pulleys, buckets, and other components of heavy equipment to ensure smooth operation.
  • Replace oil, air, and fuel filters on motor vehicles, trucks, and heavy equipment to maintain optimal performance.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to confined spaces and noisy conditions.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a related field, preferably in a heavy equipment or automotive setting.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
