Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team at The North West Company. As a key member of our Distribution Center, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to the Outbound Manager in maintaining a smooth traffic flow of goods.
  • Perform Outbound Shipping Department functions, including unloading/loading trailers, strapping and sorting cartons.
  • Process merchandise to its proper location for shipping.
  • Operate handheld computers to track and manage inventory.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Perform other accountabilities as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Previous warehouse experience involving shipping and/or receiving is preferred.
  • Previous forklift and other Material Handling Equipment experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge of airport/airplane loading procedures is required.
  • Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail to follow instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) accurately.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team environment.
  • Sufficient literacy level to perform required tasks.
  • Ability to work in a variety of seasonal temperatures.
  • Ability to prioritize workloads to meet deadlines.
