We are currently seeking a Casual Registered Nurse to become a vital part of our Enhanced Care team at Ryan Hall, located in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments, plan, evaluate, document, and direct residents' needs in collaboration with medical professionals and team members.
  • Provide leadership to health services staff, ensuring quality health services that respect the client's right to individualized care.
  • Collaborate with management and health services teams to enhance communication and adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of resident care plans.
  • Administer and document prescribed medications in accordance with company policy and scope of practice.
  • Apply dressings and treatments as per physician's orders and established protocols.
  • Support the supervision and evaluation of care staff performance.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability. You possess:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing and current registration with the Provincial Association of Registered Nurses.
  • A passion for working with seniors, with experience in a senior living or long-term care setting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of nursing and healthcare practices, alongside excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Availability for a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Advanced proficiency in English; proficiency in additional languages is an asset.
  • Ability to provide a CPR & Emergency First Aid Certificate, a Clear Criminal Record Check, and Vulnerable Sector Screening upon hire.
