The Role:

We are seeking a Meat Cutter to join our team. This position is integral to our operations, reporting directly to the Meat Manager. The Meat Cutter enhances our cooperative by preparing fresh, high-quality, and well-displayed meat products for our clientele.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering exceptional customer service that is both friendly and efficient.
  • Preparing various cuts of meat for retail using knives and specialized equipment.
  • Creating marinated meats and other value-added products.
  • Engaging with customers, offering recommendations, and providing cooking instructions for different cuts of meat.

A comprehensive list of responsibilities will be shared with candidates selected for interviews.

About You:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail meat department as a meat cutter; OR
  • Formal training in meat cutting, such as completion of the Food Processing (Animal Proteins) program.
