About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Stone Mason to join our team at ROLL STONE GRANITE COUNTERTOP INC. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and Lay Masonry Units: Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles, or other masonry units to construct buildings, walls, and other structures.
  • Construct and Install Prefabricated Units: Construct and install prefabricated masonry units, such as brick veneer, to provide a finished exterior surface.
  • Read and Interpret Blueprints: Read and interpret sketches and blueprints to calculate materials required for a project.
  • Cut and Trim Materials: Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools.
  • Lay Bricks and Other Masonry Units: Lay bricks or other masonry units to build residential or commercial chimneys and fireplaces.
  • Lay Radial Bricks: Lay radial bricks to build masonry shells of industrial chimneys.
  • Line Industrial Chimneys and Smokestacks: Lay or install firebricks to line industrial chimneys and smokestacks.
  • Line Furnaces and Kilns: Line or reline furnaces, kilns, boilers, and similar installations using refractory or acid-resistant bricks, refractory concretes, plastic refractories, and other materials.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Physically Demanding: This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bending, Crouching, Kneeling: The job involves frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling to perform tasks.
  • Work Term: Permanent: This is a permanent position with a regular schedule.
  • Work Language: English: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
  • Hours: 35 hours per week: The standard workweek is 35 hours.
