About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Roofing Specialist to join our team at J.E. Wilson Roofing Co., Ltd. as a Construction Technician. As a key member of our building trades team, you will be responsible for installing and repairing roofing systems on commercial, industrial, and residential properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and replace roofing materials, including asphalt shingles, wood shingles, and metal roofs
  • Apply waterproof coatings to concrete and masonry surfaces
  • Erect and install scaffolding and working platforms
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, and specifications
  • Perform tasks in a fast-paced environment with physical demands, including bending, crouching, and handling heavy loads
Requirements
  • Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience in the roofing trade
  • Working at heights training and Fall Arrest Protection Training Course
  • Roofer Trade Certification and WHMIS Certificate
  • Ability to work in a team environment and possess dependability and reliability
Working Conditions
