As a Cloud Infrastructure Specialist within our Hardware Infrastructure provisioning team, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing and automating hardware resource provisioning to support our cloud computing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Configuration and Onboarding of Network Equipment:

  • Set up servers and network devices in accordance with design specifications and industry best practices.
  • Facilitate the seamless integration of equipment into the operational environment.
  • Collaborate with specialists and technicians to troubleshoot and resolve configuration issues.

Leadership in Change Management:

  • Oversee change management processes for the production network.
  • Document and uphold change management protocols to ensure uniformity and compliance.
  • Provide training and support to team members on standardized operational procedures.

Integration of New Technologies:

  • Work closely with the Network Architect to assist in the incorporation of new technologies into the network framework.
  • Offer technical guidance and expertise during new technology deployments.
  • Conduct testing and validation to ensure successful technology integration.

Automation Initiatives:

  • Design and implement automated processes for managing equipment information within the data center inventory system.
  • Identify and evaluate repetitive manual tasks within the team's scope of work.
  • Collaborate with automation specialists to develop and deploy automation solutions.
  • Aim for zero-touch provisioning to enhance operational efficiency.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, technologies, and best practices in cloud computing and network infrastructure.
  • Engage in knowledge-sharing activities to enhance the team's technical capabilities.
  • Promote a collaborative and supportive atmosphere within the team.
Essential Qualifications
  • Experience with Juniper and Cisco switching platforms.
  • Proficiency in Python and Ansible.
  • Strong understanding of network security principles.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and French.
  • Structured problem-solving abilities.
  • Solid grasp of routing and switching protocols.
  • Familiarity with Jira, CI/CD, and Grafana is advantageous.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • CCNA or JNCIA-DC certification.
  • 3-4 years of experience in network equipment provisioning within a data center environment (Cisco & Juniper).
  • 3-4 years of experience in server provisioning within a data center environment (HPe & Dell).
  • Ability to produce clear and concise technical documentation.
  • Strong time management skills and a proactive work ethic.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and vendors.
  • Adaptability to change within the team.
  • Self-motivated and autonomous work style.

Knowledge of French is essential for roles based in Quebec.
