Job Overview:

The Maintenance Technician I plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency of our facilities and equipment. This position involves a variety of tasks aimed at maintaining and improving our systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine, scheduled maintenance activities to uphold the functionality of machinery, HVAC systems, and other critical infrastructure.
  • Assist in the installation, modification, and servicing of mechanical systems under the guidance of senior technicians.
  • Perform thorough servicing and maintenance of diaphragm pumps.
  • Execute calibration and preventative maintenance on instrumentation used throughout the facility.
  • Collaborate with senior technicians to troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions.
  • Utilize shop tools and equipment as necessary for maintenance tasks.
  • Engage in general upkeep duties, including cleaning, snow removal, painting, and maintaining overall cleanliness.
  • Participate in training on standard operating procedures, technical manuals, and safety protocols.
  • Ensure the work area is organized and compliant with cGMP and safety standards.
  • Act as a liaison for the Maintenance team in cross-departmental initiatives related to validation and process improvements.
  • Develop a solid understanding of equipment, site layout, and operational workflows.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of distributed control systems and security protocols.
  • Document maintenance activities, logs, and inventory in accordance with cGMP regulations.
  • Contribute to team efforts and support the Maintenance department's objectives.
