BC Cancer is seeking a highly skilled PET Technologist to join our team in Victoria, BC.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform clinical PET/CT scanning, including selecting imaging protocols, positioning patients, and presenting final image data to physicians for interpretation.
- Prepare patients for scanning procedures, explaining the process and obtaining informed consent.
- Correlate clinical history with examinations, take vital signs, and administer radiotracers as needed.
- Monitor patient safety during procedures and respond to emergent situations in accordance with facility policies.
- Operate PET and CT computers and equipment in accordance with established standards.
- Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) in Nuclear Medicine.
- Three years of recent experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
- Completion of formal PET/CT education, such as the CAMRT PET/CT certificate program.
