**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Performance Engineer to join our Data & AI Platforms group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and building scalable and reliable data platforms and AI ecosystems.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Design and build data platform functionality to support scalable and reliable data ingestion, storage, validation, governance, monitoring, and observability.
  • Design and build AI platform functionality to support efficient development of production-quality multimodal generative AI applications.
  • Demonstrate end-to-end ownership of full projects from concept to delivery, including implementing well-designed spike and POC strategies.
  • Translate high-level direction into actionable work plans, including guiding other engineers to complete discrete tasks as part of the overall workstream.
  • Implement software, data, and ML/AI engineering best practices, including related to software development lifecycle, testing, scaling, performance optimization, and more.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering colleagues to understand priorities and needs of other teams across Curinos, Inc.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to help team members.

**Requirements**

  • Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Java or Scala proficiency is a plus.
  • Expertise in data engineering best practices, including ETL/ELT, data monitoring and observability, and data validations.
  • Experience working with big data, including scaling data processing and distributed computing.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills.
