Overview

KPMG Canada is seeking a highly skilled Azure Application Architect to join our team. As a key member of our application development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based solutions that meet the needs of our clients and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of cloud-based applications and services using Microsoft Azure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop solutions that meet those needs.
  • Design and implement cloud infrastructure and architecture to support application development and deployment.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and standards for cloud-based applications and services.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members and contractors.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and trends, and apply that knowledge to improve our cloud-based solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in application architecture, preferably in a cloud-based environment.
  • Significant experience working with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Active Directory, Azure Storage, and Azure Networking.
  • Proficiency in.NET 6 and above, Blazor, C#, JavaScript, and other relevant programming languages.
  • Experience with API development, accessibility best practices, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
  • Certifications such as the Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Certified Professional for Software Architecture (CPSA) are a plus.
