Automotive Technician Job Description

At Midas, we are dedicated to providing exceptional services to our customers' vehicles in the areas of inspection, diagnosis, and repair. As an automotive technician, you will utilize your expertise and experience to deliver high-quality results.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostics using state-of-the-art computer systems
  • Tire and tire repair services
  • Car heating and air conditioning systems
  • Steering and suspension systems
  • Belt and hose repair
  • Radiator and engine cooling systems
  • Battery and starting systems
  • Brake repair and maintenance
  • Oil services and check engine light diagnosis
  • Muffler and exhaust services
  • Visual safety and courtesy inspections
Qualifications
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of automotive brakes, exhaust, suspension, tires, and engine diagnostics
  • High personal productivity and efficiency
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental standards for repair facilities
  • Experience with shop equipment such as lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines, and diagnostic tools
  • Provincial Certificate of Qualification
  • Valid driver's license
  • Own tools and equipment (diagnostic scanner and tools preferred)
  • Able to service both import and domestic vehicles

Compensation: $18.00 per hour

MIDAS locations are independently owned and operated by franchisees.
