Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials across the country. This is a permanent position requiring a Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks) and a strong commitment to safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy to transport goods and materials
  • Load and unload goods in a safe and efficient manner
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Perform brake adjustments and perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
Requirements:
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks)
  • Experience an asset
