We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Cardiologist to join our team at Alberta Health Services. As a key member of our Cardiac Sciences service, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our cardiovascular program.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert clinical care to patients in the Coronary Care Unit (CCU), including on-call services.
- Offer inpatient, emergency department, and outpatient telephone consultations, including RAAPID North.
- Participate in the Chest Pain Clinic, Heart Function Clinic, and Cardiac Device Clinic.
- Obtain and maintain an AHS Medical Staff Appointment and appropriate privileges to provide services.
- Contribute to quality improvement programs and initiatives as requested by the Cardiology Facility Chief.
- Must have or be eligible for FRCPC certification or equivalent in Cardiology with the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada.
- Must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA).
- Additional skills in Transesophageal ECHO (TEE) are considered desirable.
