Job Title: Letter Carrier

About the Role:

Canada Post is seeking a reliable and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Letter Carrier. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for delivering mail and packages to customers in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sort and prepare mail and packages for delivery
  • Load and drive a Canada Post postal vehicle
  • Deliver mail and packages to customers on your route
  • Return to the depot to unload the day's incoming mail and packages

Requirements:

  • Valid Class 5 or Class G driver's licence with a safe driving record for at least 3 years
  • Physical ability to lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carry items weighing up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) regularly throughout the day
  • Ability to work in all types of weather
  • Availability to be on-call
  • Ability to read, write and speak English and/or French
