Recycling Sorter

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Recycling Sorter to join our team at Emterra Group. As a Recycling Sorter, you will play a crucial role in our waste management operations, ensuring that materials are sorted and processed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect materials and sort items or materials into designated areas, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
• Pull contaminants from sorting lines, maintaining a high level of quality control.
• Perform cleaning duties related to plant equipment and general housekeeping, maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
• Maintain an excellent attendance record and an excellent safety and work quality record, adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Ensure Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is utilized at all times, prioritizing employee safety.
• Observe and adhere to safe work practices, reporting any hazards or incidents to management.

Requirements:

• Ability to perform repetitive and physical tasks for extended periods, lifting items up to 20lb.
• Effective interpersonal skills, enabling clear communication, understanding, and response to questions, instructions, signs, signals, and safety training.
• Ability to work in all weather elements, adapting to changing environmental conditions.
• Willingness to work overtime as required, maintaining a flexible schedule (44-48.5 hours per week).
