About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Koh-I-Noor Indian Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, as well as maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, adhering to high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Order supplies and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and efficient use of resources.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring accurate tracking and efficient use of resources.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Organize buffets and banquets, ensuring exceptional presentation and service.
  • Manage kitchen operations, making decisions to optimize efficiency and quality.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a restaurant or food service environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to train and guide staff.
  • Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness.
