Drywall Installer Job Description

Mehraz Building Dreams Inc. is seeking a skilled Drywall Installer to join our team. As a Drywall Installer, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, taping joints, and applying successive coats of compound to create smooth surfaces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets to ensure a precise fit.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound.
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for installation.
  • Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency.
  • Install acoustic tile, hangers for suspended ceilings, and metal studs for composition wallboard or lath.
  • Install vapour barriers and thermal and sound insulation.
Work Environment:

As a Drywall Installer, you will work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, and in a dusty and noisy environment.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience is an asset.
  • Ability to work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages.
  • Ability to work in a dusty and noisy environment.
  • Ability to lift heavy loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
