Position Overview

Qualifications
  • Education: No formal degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in masonry.
Work Environment

The position is primarily based in the construction sector, where the candidate will be involved in various masonry projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry units.
  • Install veneer facing using bricks, stone, or similar materials.
  • Construct and assemble prefabricated masonry units.
  • Utilize hand and power tools to cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specifications.
  • Build residential or commercial chimneys and fireplaces using masonry units.
  • Construct masonry shells for industrial chimneys using radial bricks.
  • Install firebricks to line industrial chimneys and smokestacks.
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to handle physically demanding tasks.
  • Ability to lift heavy loads.
  • Willingness to stand for extended periods.
  • Comfortable with bending, crouching, and kneeling.
