The Canada Pension Plan Investment Board is seeking a Head of Program Management within the Alternative Investments Technology division. This role is crucial for overseeing strategic initiatives that support our Private Equity, Credit Investment, and Real Asset teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and ensure successful outcomes for program initiatives, adhering to established business success criteria.
- Manage and prioritize program activities, effectively addressing dependencies and competing demands across various projects.

- Encourage transparency and build trust across teams and departments.

Stakeholder Management:
- Communicate effectively with peers and senior stakeholders, ensuring clarity in messaging for diverse audiences.
- Develop relationships with business partners to understand their needs and become a trusted advisor.
- Collaborate with Technical Area Leads and Product Owners to establish strategic roadmaps and quarterly objectives.
- Engage with various teams to align on broader organizational strategies and promote synergy.
- Oversee vendor relationships to enhance efficiency and meet budgetary requirements.
- Manage financial aspects of the team, including forecasts and vendor contracts.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate or advanced degree in a relevant field.
- Over 8 years of experience in a similar role within the investment sector.
- Deep understanding of alternative assets and related business processes.
- Experience with product implementations in Private Asset Data, Investment systems, and Valuations is advantageous.
- Proficient in project management methodologies, with PMI certification preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to identifying risks.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, with experience presenting to executive-level audiences.
- A proven change agent with the ability to influence and lead organizational change.
- Ability to build strategic relationships and influence key stakeholders.
- Additional qualifications such as CFA designation or knowledge of investment domains are considered assets.
