Job Summary

We are seeking a British Columbia Land Surveyor in Training to join our office in Kamloops, BC. As a member of our team, you will work under the mentorship of our experienced Land Surveyors to develop your skills and knowledge in geomatics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting legal surveys for the determination, establishment, and location of real property boundaries and natural or human-made features
  • Preparing and maintaining drawings, official plans, records, and documents pertaining to these surveys
  • Providing other surveying services such as topographic, hydrographic surveys, precise construction layout, "as built" surveys, and deformation surveys
  • Other duties as required

Requirements

  • Geomatics degree or diploma
  • Certificate of Completion from the Canadian Board of Examiners for Professional Surveyors (preferred but not required)
  • Experience in legal land surveying and/or construction surveying (asset)
  • Experience with Civil 3D or survey processing software (asset)
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills with a high level of dependability
  • Ability to travel and work out of town for periods of time when called upon
  • Willingness to learn and contribute in a dynamic team environment
  • Valid driver's license
