About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Glenmore Lodge Care Community. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to our residents and contributing to the overall success of our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Nursing Care: Deliver excellent nursing and personal care to residents in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and the resident plan of care.
  • Medication Management: Ensure the safe and secure storage, control, and administration of medications and narcotics.
  • Resident Care and Support: Foster a comfortable and safe environment that promotes privacy, dignity, autonomy, independence, and individuality.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with the interprofessional team, residents, and family members to provide comprehensive care and support.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Accurately document resident care, progress, and any changes in status.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance nursing practice and stay up-to-date with industry developments.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Diploma in Practical Nursing and current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses BC.
  • Experience and Skills: Successful completion of RAI MDS certification, current First Aid with CPR, and a strong commitment to providing exceptional care.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a patient and compassionate approach, and a strong work ethic.
