Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Bilingual Account Opening Branch Manager to join our team at Sun Life Canada Securities Inc. This role will be responsible for managing the account opening and maintenance process, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain the Retail Wealth Management Operations, Account Opening and Maintenance program.
  • Function as a key point of contact and subject matter expert on Account Opening and Maintenance related inquiries and requests.
  • Foster a culture of compliance throughout the business and organization.
  • Liaise regularly with the Canadian SLCSI Operations Team.
  • Provide training to new Operations and other staff members.
  • Continually evaluate the effectiveness of departmental procedures and participate in developing, maintaining, and implementing changes to the policies and procedures.
  • Manage new account approvals and account updates.
  • Support Investment Advisors and Portfolio Managers with Account Opening and Maintenance inquiries.
  • Provide ongoing Operations, Account Opening and Maintenance education and training for registered personnel.
Requirements
  • Bilingualism (French, English) is required for frequent interactions with colleagues and internal partners.
  • Successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course, Conduct and Practices Handbook, and Investment Dealer Supervisor Course.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the securities industry, with a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Branch Manager or Compliance Officer with a CIRO firm.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of investment products and financial markets.
  • Passion for client servicing and building strong relationships.
