Rear Load Driver Position

GE Environmental, a division of the Municipal Group of Companies, is a leading environmental services provider with a strong presence in the South Shore region. We are seeking a skilled and reliable Rear Load Driver to join our team based out of our Bridgewater, NS location.

Key Highlights:

  • Day shifts, Monday to Friday, with an early morning start time
  • Occasional variation from schedule may be required to meet contractual obligations and holiday schedules

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Drive and load truck safely and efficiently on assigned routes according to contractual requirements
  • Ensure routes are completed in a timely and secure manner
  • Responsible for daily pre and post-trip inspections of truck
  • Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment under varying traffic and road conditions
  • Maintain radio contact with team and supervisor to receive instructions and report any issues on route or with the vehicle

Requirements:

  • Valid commercial driver's license with an acceptable driver abstract
  • Minimum Class 3 License
  • Ability to work in a team environment and effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous waste and recycling experience is considered an asset
