About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Registrations to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our Global Operations team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Director, Registrations in achieving the team's business strategies and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of your respective areas and team, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk and regulatory compliance risk.
  • Champion a high-performance environment and implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates your team by fostering an inclusive work environment; communicating vision, values, business strategy, and managing succession and development planning for the team.
  • Foster and sustain strategic partnerships with external entities, in alignment and fulfillment of the department's strategic vision.
  • Execute various administrative functions to maintain the operation of the SRD. Provide reporting and feedback to the Director, Registrations on licensed personnel and any correspondence with regulators, compliance departments, branches, or individuals. Identify any areas of deficiencies in the registration process to management.
  • Continuously seek methods to enhance process efficiency through automation and standardization.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic roles in banking/financial services.
  • 3+ years of experience dealing in Registrations.
  • 3+ years of people manager experience, the incumbent role is to strengthen team cohesion and uphold company culture.
  • 3+ years of experience dealing with internal and/or stakeholders.
  • 3+ years of experience with Compliance, Regulatory, and/or Risk Management.
  • Able to manage multiple activities to aggressive deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Mastery of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, challenging, and dynamic business environment.
  • Experienced in developing reports and communications for an executive audience.
  • University degree in Business is desirable.
