Job Summary

As a Financial Planner, you will be responsible for contributing to the overall success of the team by achieving negotiated goals through effective management of assigned clients. Your primary role is to establish or strengthen primary banking relationships and investment relationships with clients in your portfolio and with clients recommended by branch partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be a passionate advocate for financial services and provide clients with informed financial advice on complex retirement and investment planning.
  • Focus on results by adopting a proactive approach to discover client needs and listening to understand what they are looking for.
  • Conduct a thorough review of assigned clients, including retirement planning, wealth enhancement, and succession planning, using financial planning skills, and offer personalized financial strategies and solutions.
  • Be highly motivated to provide clients with relevant information and expert advice.
  • Adopt a collaborative approach in interactions with peers, clients, and partners.
  • Build relationships by focusing on delivering an excellent client experience and growing relationships with existing clients.

Requirements

  • Success in training leading to a Chartered Financial Planner (CFP) designation or equivalent recognized by the Bank.
  • Minimum three years of experience in selling investment products and financial planning.
  • Experience in sales management and ability to market the Bank Scotia.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients, peers, and partners.
