Job Title: Research and Administrative Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Research and Administrative Coordinator to join our team at Lakehead University. The successful candidate will provide administrative and operational support to our research program, working under the supervision of Dr. Christopher Mushquash.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the research program, including managing confidential inboxes, coordinating research ethics applications, and identifying funding opportunities.
  • Conduct systematic reviews of literature and environmental scans, and coordinate the development of data collection tools.
  • Assist with research analyses and reporting, including conducting data analyses, compiling tables and charts, and drafting articles and reports.
  • Manage research budgets and assist with overall budgeting, and design project management plans and oversee execution.
Requirements:
  • PhD level education in a relevant discipline, or Master's level education with extensive work-related experience.
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to conduct correspondence with senior administrators and collaborators.
  • Experience providing support to students, trainees, and other research staff, and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and analytical software.
What We Offer:

This is a twelve-month full-time contract position, with opportunity to renew contingent on performance. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, life insurance, pension plan, and tuition waiver.
