About the Role
We are currently facing a surge in demand for our robotic solutions and require a meticulous individual to support the inspection of various custom components. This role involves analyzing issued MTS/OTS parts and effectively communicating solutions to all stakeholders. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be accountable for ensuring that our core products are constructed with the highest quality components and meet specified end-user requirements. You will be an integral part of our Quality team, ensuring that Clearpath robots are equipped to tackle the world's most challenging tasks.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct incoming quality inspections of custom parts, including harnesses, printed circuit boards, and mechanical assemblies.
- Test and troubleshoot electrical harnesses, PCBAs, and electrical bays/panels.
- Validate quality for in-process and finished goods.
- Assist in the creation of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and document issues identified during your analysis.
- Maintain process and traceability documentation.
Additional Responsibilities May Include:
- Implementing and refining processes.
- Participating in Continuous Improvement and 5S initiatives.
- Performing other duties as assigned.

Required Technical Skills:
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and schematics, identify mechanical/electrical components, and determine root causes of PCB or robotic test failures.
- Practical understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of mechanical/electrical defects.
- Familiarity with cable assembly, PCBA quality standards, and common defects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel and Word, Google Sheets, and Docs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in IPC-7711, IPC-7721, IPC-A-600, IPC-9121, IPC-610, IPC-620 or equivalent.
- Experience with Linux.
- Knowledge of ISO standards.
- Experience in lean manufacturing.
- Understanding of 5S methodology.
