About the Role:

Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team of experienced professionals. As a key member of our service team, you will play a critical role in maintaining customer relationships through exceptional service and ensuring the smooth operation of our customers' HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to Johnson Controls' industry-leading safety program to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintain customer relationships through service excellence and provide timely solutions to their HVAC needs.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, including preventative maintenance contracts.
  • Work with customers to identify and resolve HVAC-related issues.
  • Change and service filters, oil and grease bearings, and perform belt adjustments and replacements.
  • Perform cooling tower and condenser maintenance, including coil, evaporator, and tube cleaning.
  • Conduct general housekeeping tasks as required by customer contracts.
  • Operate mechanical equipment as needed and perform maintenance tasks using basic hand tools.
  • Perform indoor air quality-related maintenance, including duct cleaning and drain pan maintenance.
  • Transport rigging equipment to and from sites as needed.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in the HVAC service industry.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Clean driver's abstract.
  • Ability to join UA-516 or be a member in good standing.

Assets:

  • Commercial and industrial experience an asset.
  • Knowledge of BACnet and Modbus communication protocols preferred.
  • Previous technical/installation experience.
  • Chiller experience.

Compensation and Benefits:

Hourly rate of $51.81 determined by UA Local 516 CBA/rate sheet. Benefits provided through the union-aligned collective bargaining agreement.
