Executive Director Opportunity

The Ontario Association of Interval & Transition Houses seeks a dedicated and compassionate Executive Director to lead our organization in providing essential services to women, children, and youth affected by violence.

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned professional with a strong background in social work, non-profit management, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of intimate partner violence, gender-based violence, and the systemic factors that impact women's safety and security.

The Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our organization, including managing change associated with organizational growth and transitions. A strong track record of working with government agencies and a passion for serving survivors of domestic violence are essential qualities for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the organization in providing responsive and empowering services to women, children, and youth
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to address the needs of our clients and community
  • Manage a team of staff and volunteers to ensure the delivery of high-quality services
  • Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, community partners, and stakeholders
  • Oversee the development and implementation of policies and procedures
Requirements
  • University-level degree in social work, healthcare administration, or a related field
  • Combination of education and experience in non-profit management, social service work, or public administration
  • Strong understanding of intimate partner violence, gender-based violence, and systemic factors
  • Proven track record of working with government agencies
  • Passion for serving survivors of domestic violence
