About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team at PAYLESS ROOFING INC. as a key member of our roofing crew. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting our experienced roofers in various aspects of construction, including loading and unloading materials, cleaning and maintaining equipment, and performing routine maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading Materials: Assist in loading and unloading construction materials, such as roofing supplies, tools, and equipment, from trucks and storage areas.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean and maintain equipment, tools, and work areas to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubricating equipment, checking tools, and reporting any issues to the supervisor.
  • Assisting Roofers: Assist experienced roofers in various aspects of construction, including erecting scaffolding, loading materials, and performing tasks as assigned.
  • Site Cleanup: Assist in cleaning up the construction site, including removing debris, rubble, and other waste materials.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and a high level of physical activity.
  • Physical Demands: The role requires manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Work Conditions: Work in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, and be exposed to dust, noise, and other hazards.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English language proficiency required.
