About the Role

The Federal PSHCP Administration Authority is seeking a highly skilled and bilingual Appeals Analyst to join our team. As an Appeals Analyst, you will play a critical role in the management and preparation of appeals for review by the Appeals Committee of the PSHCP Board of Directors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Open and manage appeal files, assigning case numbers and preparing files for review.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of formal appeal cases, communicating with relevant parties to obtain additional information.
  • Prepare and draft analytical summaries of each case, presenting findings to the Appeals Committee.
  • Review and authorize administrative cases, preparing correspondence in response to appeals.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and participate in the research of complex cases or issues.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the communications functional area, responding to requests for information and maintaining records.
  • Write, edit, and proofread content in both French and English, providing administrative support on special projects and initiatives.
Requirements
  • Fluent bilingualism (French and English)
  • Post-secondary education (University degree or College diploma)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field, with a suitable combination of education and experience considered.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent writing skills in French and English, with the ability to write, edit, revise, and present content in both official languages.
  • Proven ability to communicate professionally and effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in operating word processing and presentation software (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite, Sharepoint).
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize data from various sources, with effective presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of the health insurance industry and the PSHCP is an asset.
